Stella Nyagasi and Job Rubiaare are twins.
Their father died in a road accident.
A family friend who is a teacher at Merrow school requested the sister who sells second-hand clothes in the market to bring the twins to the school and request the administration to allow her to make fee payment partially as they were not going to school.
They have been at Merrow for a year now, she tries her best to pay tuition but can’t afford to.
In the holidays these girls are very fortunate to be able to go home to their mother. They are in Grade 8.
An existing sponsor and a very special lady has also sponsored these two girls. They together with their sister and mother will be given the news tomorrow.
Now they can finally relax a little in the knowledge that the girls will be able to remain in school.
Thank you doesn’t seem enough.
And I think that makes it 3… only 3 more existing rescued children to find sponsors for…
I am exhausted but so totally overwhelmed by all your incredible support in what think is only 3 or maybe 4 days.
Apologies if I have missed anyone out of the thank yous.
Once I am home I will find the time to reconcile all of the messages, offers of support, payments received, etc and hopefully, in the coming days I may be able to report that through your amazing support, we will have found sponsors for all 10.
Some thank you’s I must not forget, are the team in Kenya who give so generously of their time and support FOC and the suppliers who provide us with services at cost or less so we can achieve so much in these short visits.
And finally to David for his patience and understanding in allowing me to spend so much time here and every week at home to ensure we continue to rescue these children, and educate those who otherwise would remain uneducated which in turn allows them their childhoods and the ability to make choices in later life about their futures and their children’s futures.
That may sound a little heavy however after 17 years and now working with the next generation of the same families, as tough, frustrating, and often upsetting it is, what we as a team from many different countries do, works, however, nothing would be possible without your support.
Thank you.
