Choice Through Education UK was evolved by Wayne Collins over a number of years of volunteer work and sponsoring children in Kenya. In 2018 Glynnis Wisbey and Barry Thomas joined the cause and CTE was officially registered as a Charity. Since then CTE have continued Waynes initial good work. We continue to strive to support poor and vulnerable children by offering them a future through education. These children can become an inspiration to others and role models in the community.
CTE in the UK is registered at the Charity Commission for England and Wales. Our Board of Trustees is composed of 3 members who meet every month to review the accounts, procedures and progress as well as deciding on the strategic orientation of the charity. The three trustees operate on a 100% voluntary basis and receive no income from the charity.
As well as being Head Honcho and founding member at CTE, Wayne has run WCA, a Chartered Building Surveyors practice for many years. His practical knowledge has been invaluable in ensuring CTE building projects have run to plan.
Glynnis has been involved with charities for many years and brings invaluable experience to helping run CTE smoothly. Her knowledge and enthusiasm is well sort after and she has recently become a Trustee of another charity too, Demelza.
As well as being dedicated to the CTE cause, Barry runs Urban Meadows, a Garden Design and Landscaping practice. Barry has travelled extensively around the world and spent many years in Africa where he developed his passion for the place and its people.
CTE managers are essential to the day to day running of the charity in Kenya. They are all important, respected members of their community.

She is a well known and cherished member of her community, who has devoted huge amounts of time to improving the lives of children and others in her community. She has an instrumental role in the day to day implementation of our charity work.
