Nayianoi is now safely at her new school

  • Choice Through Education - Nayianoi Is Now Safely At Her New School

Lots of positives on her first journey away from the Mara and she visibly started to relax a little with the occasional smile. Cookies appear to be a new favourite.

The school put on a wonderful welcome for her.

There is another child from her village here who was rescued previously and it was a very emotional reunion and they stood there holding each other very tightly in tears, as we all were. So emotional.

No child should ever find themselves in this sort of position.

On a positive note the remainder of the cookies were enjoyed by her and her new Dorm buddies.

On a less positive note I have discovered that this amazing school has a further 10 rescued children here temporarily pending finding sponsors.

Overnight CTE have found a sponsor to reduce that to 9. Dennis will be given the amazing news that he can stay at school and continue his education during class later today.

We now have the challenge of finding sponsors for the other 9 be they individuals or friends/families who share the cost (£36 a month) to keep them in school, provide uniform / clothes, shoes, books and feed them.
