Spring child 2024 no. 12 is now safe with our friends in Kenya

Thanks to two wonderful supporters of Choice through Education UK she will travel to Merrow Christian School at the end of the current holiday to continue her childhood and education.

Kesilai from Mau Narok – Narok north. She has no parents and is being raised by her grandmother. She is in grade 7 and only reported for a month in school and dropped out because her grandmother cannot afford to pay for her who is struggling to provide for her and look after her.

Kesilai will then travel back to Merrow School to continue her education.

She is 15 and in a lower year than normal for her age but that is not unusual with these children. She is at risk of being married at this age so it looks like we have found her in time. She is very happy as her grandmother.

We will arrange for her to keep in touch with her grandmother and visit when possible and safe to do so.
