This is the fifth child!

Jeannette Fuller, this is the fifth child! Joel Lukeine is in Grade 8 and the second-born in a family of 10 children.

His firstborn brother dropped out of school in form 2 due to a lack of school fees so that he could seek work and assist his mother in raising the other children, as he lost his father when they were young.

There is just no money available to allow him to continue to attend school, and the family has already accrued school fee arrears that they cannot pay.

Joel is a bright, disciplined, and hardworking boy who was so happy when I told him the news.

Your generosity will get him to the end of Grade 8 and we know he will work very hard as we will to try and find a sponsor for next year to at least allow him to get to the end of Grade 9 and sit his national exams which if he passes will provide him with the opportunity to continue of for his last three years at High School, subject us funding those three years as well.

He can dream once more rather than waiting for the day when he is told he has to go home and not return to school.
