Thank you all for your messages and support we could not do what we do out here without your support.

We have found two sponsors today and I am now looking for a third, please.

Naisiae Njapit is 14 and in Grade 7 so older for the year as her family does not believe girls should be educated. Her brothers are but not her.

We are slowly, one year, one child at a time changing this thankfully.

Her elder brothers had organised for her to be married off for the dowry but she heard it and escaped to Nkineji school as it is so known that we are a safe refuge.

At just 14, she was kept in a remote village, and she must have been petrified when she had to escape all alone.

She has a temporary placement in school and can already read and write a few words.

Our amazing dedicated teachers work evenings and weekends for no extra pay to help rescued children. Regina Njuguna and your team, you are so amazing.

This is the first time in years that Naisiae has felt safe and can have some sort of childhood.

We have to find her a sponsor to keep her at school. The cost to educate and clothe her (she is currently wearing borrowed clothes) and feed her is £24 a month.
