  • Choice Through Education - Nayianoi Is Now Safely At Her New School

Amazing, thanks to you we have now reduced the number of unsponsored rescued children from 10 to 8.

A wonderful friend of mine has agreed to sponsor a lovely girl called Blessing. She is 13 and in Grade 7. A lower grade than she should have but now doing really well at Merrow School.

Her story is painful, both her parents are alive, her father is a drunkard and her mother got married to another man in faraway lands and doesn’t want her father to be abusive, very abusive and she is running away before things get worse.

She was rescued by the Children’s Department after a tip-off from someone My friends who set up and run Merrow School take them all regardless but bless them they cannot afford to keep them there as well as look after them in the holidays without sponsors.

Until she arrived at school she lived in fear and was traumatised by her mother abandoning her. She has settled in well. The school is not just education-focused; they want them to have a childhood too. I was there last night and this morning. Such amazingly dedicated teachers. They come in at weekends to help the rescued kids catch up and deal with their issues.

Thank you so much. You have changed her life.

She will be SO VERY HAPPY when she is told she can remain in this safe environment, and continue her education.
